Take a moment to recognize the things in your life that are not pleasing to God. Sin separates us from Him, but acknowledging our need for God is the first step toward a new beginning. Come before Him with an open and sincere heart.
If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins, and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. Forgiveness is not earned through our own merits, but is a free gift of grace purchased by the blood of Jesus Christ on the cross. When we ask in sincere faith, God removes our transgressions as far as the east is from the west, establishing a clean, unbroken relationship with us.
Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out, when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the Lord. Repentance is more than feeling sorrowful; it represents a deliberate decision to turn 180 degrees away from self-centered paths and walk in obedience to God's word. It is a daily decision to align our thoughts, habits, and actions with the teachings of Jesus Christ.
